Swim Coaching

Adam Beckworth has a long history in swimming and is renowned as one of Geelong's finest swim athletes.
With a keen interested in swim coaching Adam can help all swimmers find a more efficient stroke with just a couple of 1 on 1 sessions. Adam has worked with beginners, adult beginners, age group competitive swimmers and elite swimmers looking to find an edge over their rivals.

STROKE ANALYSIS

Adam's "stroke correction sessions" can be done individually or in group of 2 or 3. Adam will not take more than 3 athletes at any one time. This ensures each athlete gets the right amount of attention and analysis for them to start making some progress on their stroke.

During the first session you will be required to swim your natural stroke for analysis. This will give Adam an indication of your strengths and weaknesses.

Through the use of drills, verbal feedback, equipment and sometimes video footage, the athlete will start to make small adjustments towards ultimately reaching a more efficient swim stroke.

SESSION OPTIONS

The minimum number of sessions for swim coaching is 3. From experience Adam knows that giving too many coaching points in one session can lead to overwhelm and confusion. So, spreading these out over 3 sessions allows more time for each stroke correction and practice.

1-on-1: $150 per session
1-on-2: $120 per session / per athlete
1-on-3: $100 per session / per athlete
*Price includes pool entry.

*Equipment: Adam can supply swimming equipment (eg: Pull Buoy etc) if required an no extra cost.

OPEN WATER Skills session

Given a lot of our races are done in open water, Adam also offers "open water specific skills" sessions. This can be done individually or in groups of up to 20.
Adam understands the anxiety that open water can create to an athlete (even experienced athletes) and in his sessions Adam helps move your focus to your stroke, sighting and position. Focusing on specifics can help alleviate your stress.
During the open water session, Adam will tailer his coaching specific to the group. Beginner classes will be much different to experienced swimmers looking to improve their race day technique.
